This month I focused on making a video about overweight youths, highlighting a friend of mine who went through a personal journey of weight loss with the help of Camp Jump Start, a camp I have profiled in the past. I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to make a well rounded story, with the credibility of CJS and Katie's incredible journey. I had fun making this video even though Final Cut decided I wouldn't cooperate. I'm also excited that we will FINALLY be producing a Ladue View!
This month we are creating two projects, one a mini project and another a longer format video. I've just uploaded my mini project, a B-roll package about Neuro-Day, and event the St. Louis Science Center recently held to educate people about their brain. It was an incredible event and interesting to film because although there were real brains and it was such a cool shot, I wasn't legally allowed to film the brains. So I had to get creative with angles and such. This project was originally meant to be a mini-package with two interviews, one from the guy who was in charge of the event and another from a researcher who is working on developing a way for amputees to have a sense of touch through their prosthetic limbs. However to my dismay, although I thought I had seen the audio levels and had switched the cameras to the correct input, there was NO audio, nor was there any for the b-roll clips, which is why there's no nat sound =( |
