With the chatter surrounding the new schedule we have Ladue View decided to Produce an investigative show covering various topics ranging from homework to seminar to AP & Advanced classes to The Ram Day. These videos focused on all of the problem areas which were highly discussed last year. Because this show is over a topic that is of such high debate, we have worked extra hard to produce videos that are even and give all parties and outlet to voice their side. The show will air in December, tune into HEC-TV to see our show along with Ladue Schools Today!
My instructor, Mr. Don Goble, had the idea this year to create a platform for students around the world to submit videos which follow a monthly theme. Marissa and I have taken on GSNN.weebly.com!! The Idea behind the Global Student News Network (@GlobalSNN) is to get students K-20 working with video, and telling stories. It's been so much fun to see all of the different submissions from across the country and now the world. It's exciting when I check the site statistics and see a new country. The Bahamas, New Zealand, Singapore, etc. Marissa and I can't wait to see what videos the world is working on!! #GSNN This year, Ladue introduced an new schedule which has sparked mixed reactions from students, teachers, and parents. At Ladue View, we've decided to produce an in depth investigative show looking into how the new schedule has impacted AP and Advanced Classes, and Homework. We're also looking into the new Ram Day and the restructured AC Lab, now Seminar.
I'm documenting homework and interviewing multiple students, teachers, and parents. I'm excited to see how the show turns out and what the general concuss will be among the different demographic. Next week we leave for JEA 2015 in Orlando!! Classmates and I are SOOOO EXCITED!! |
